Microsoft is taking it’s stab at the mobile search assistant game by launching its own version called Cortana. Cortana is part of the company’s new Windows phone 8.1 software. This will be their first major update in a year and a half. Cortana works similar to Apple’s Siri by being activated by pushing a button. It’s also similar to Google’s version by opening apps. However, the biggest difference is that Cortana is able to push data to your apps making it easier to use your smartphone. Cortana also comes with additional features like being able to track your habits (when you wake up, what you frequently search for) and will use this information to predict your next move.
