Look in most men’s wardrobes, and they’ll most likely have a pair of Converse in their arsenal – for reasons being, the iconic kicks over-deliver on affordability, practicality and style. It’s an easy sneaker that doesn’t ask much, but gives a lot in return. So when a new idea surfaces from the Converse stable, we’re all ears (and feet).
Case in point, the latest collaborative efforts between Converse and luxury lifestyle label, Hancock Vulvanised Articles. Dubbed the ‘Hancock Wetland’ sneaker, it’s a weather-protected high-top partially covered in rubber to repel the worst that mother nature throws at you(r feet). Inspired by the classic, weather-busting galoshes of old, the kicks come in two colours (black and military green) and look a cross between the staple Purcell’s and futurists streetstyle footwear. And they’re out december 13 for $270 in a very limited run – meaning, you should jump over to the Converse site and refresh your screens up to the date to ensure you nab yourself a pair. Then go jump in some puddles.
