Seemingly out of nowhere, Nintendo has just announced another gaming console, the new 2DS XL. As the name suggests, the console takes cues from the Nintendo 3DS with a C-stick, Amiibo-compatible NFC reader, and extra processing power, while removing the display’s 3D functionality. The Nintendo 2DS XL will go on sale on July 28 for a retail price of $150 USD. However, those living in Japan can expect the console to hit the shelves on July 13 for ¥14,980 JPY (approximately $135 USD). Check out the trailer above for more details.
