ROPES Lamps by Christian Haas

ROPES is a new series of lamps from German designer Christian Haas. The idea behind the lamps was to combine LED-technology with a innovative soft look and textile appeal. Unlit, the lamps provide a graphic statement to their environment. Lit, they diffuse a gentle ambient light. Each piece is unique, numbered and varies in size and technique. ROPES are handmade in France and Germany.

Last week, design magazine Dezeen featured work from Belgian designer Kasper Hamacher's new project Ausgesbrannt. Ausgesbrannt (German for 'burnt out') consists of stools made from wooden logs that were set on fire. The stools were displayed at the Biologiska museum in Stockholm as part of 20 Designers at Biologiska.
